Hope the NEH family is doing good and getting a bunch of flying in during the better part of the year. Now lets get some Alumni and prospects on here and start networking.

You can't possibly be too old, a guy in my flight classes is 38, haha. Things have been going great here. I'm in the blackhawk course, having a ball. I start nights next week, which is the last portion. I'm pretty excited to fly with NVGs, and there is also a HUD that the 60 has. Finally, something completely new! I'll be back up north the beginning of June. Let me know when you're back in the states and we'll have to get together!  less

No one want's an old guy like me in there, they want all these new 21 year old kids!!! By the time I might be able to get to put my packet in, you'll be a WO-2 and be able to give me a real good Letter of Rec!!! Not a bad company in general, but their Qatar contract was the worst!!! What are you looking to do with them, Civipol, WPPS, static security, PSD or something else? I work and have worked with a lot of LE guy's and would prefer to work with them over here than these immature military kids! They just seem a lot more professional! Good luck in your endeavors, maybe we might even meet up over here?

He's in Kabul right now I think but he travels back amnd fourth from Iraq to Afgan. Im also going over for security and not flying. Im short on hours and figured I would also use the money to help with time building. Just figured 18 yrs LE I could go and do a couple years and have enough to pay for the time and turbine costs to gain hours. I want to come back and get on with a LE unit somewhere. Be safe and good luck on your ventures.

Currently I am contracted doing Security for The Department of Defense, hoping it will finance the rest of my ratings. The other day I spoke to the project manager for the State Department's aviation unit located at the same base I'm at. I plan to come back over here or in Afghanistan with them when I complete my ratings. Who does your friend work with, and where is he located? It's a small world in the Security Contracting Industry, just like it is in the helicopter industry, I might know or know of them! Thanks for the add and the comment.  less

  • Flight Experience I have been flying, from a young age, with my father in numerous ultralight and other general aviation aircraft, including fixed-wing and rotor-craft. He first introduced me to R/C aircraft and I purchased my first R/C helicopter when I was 11. From then on, I have had a love for rotor-craft. I am interested in all things aviation, but I have a certain interest in helicopters due to their complexity and diversity.
