They only loaned it to me over the holidays.

My mother came to visit us from Souther Ontario along with my aunt and two cousins from Holland. A great way to see some country fast. We started to follow Lake Minniwanka in to the mountains, but my aunt got nervous, so scenery from the Rockies is scarce. Then we hit a bit of rain, so the nose camera is a little blurry. We're still in a "learning curve". Enjoy.

I bring the odd new ship up to Canada from the factory, and it is an 11-12 hour flight. I make six stops along the way, the longest leg is about two hours. After that amount of time, I'm ready for a bit of a break. Here is a download of the trip from my 496.

We had some headwinds on the second half of the trip and a bunch of nasty weather that required some scud running. Charlie did 99% of the flying and he did a pretty darn good job for a relatively new pilot. Will post our track here soon.

You know, your route looks like its close to the same distance.
Flight Experience
I graduated from High School with the mind-set to become a helicopter pilot. I first completed my AME Certificate (A & P to our US friends), and then completed my commercial Rotary license. The economy didn't compensate new pilots very well in the early 80's, so I gave up the career and started a job in construction. I currently own a successful construction company in Calgary, Alberta. In 2007, I purchased a new Raven II for business use and pleasure. I'm having a ball.

Want to build some time in an R44? I'm flying from Sacramento, CA to Wenatchee, WA on or around April 27. If you have an R44 endorsement (I am not a CFI), you can do the flying on any route you choose -- as long as you pay for all the gas. Interested? Contact me: http://www.flyingmair.com/info/contact-us/
