There was an interesting story in the New York Times this week about helicopter operations in L.A.:

I'd be interested in hearing what others think about it. Obviously the reporter is not very familiar with helicopter operations or FAA regulations — I really can't envision an R44 circling at 90 degrees of bank, and as another RotorSpace member pointed out, the rooftop helipads the reporter refers to are there due to building codes, not because they get regular use. However, the pilot quoted in the article certainly does nothing to promote the "fly neighborly" concept. Thoughts, especially from any members who regularly fly in L.A.?
