ive always been fascinated with the idea of flight, and as far back as I can remember, damn near every night I have incredibly vivid and lucid dreams. dreams where I would be flying! not like superman, or in an aircraft, but more of a, you think it and you go there, kind of mentality. jan. 2007. I went to Oahu, HI for 2 weeks and my dad and I took a 45 minute tour over the island in a 206III, when I got into it, I thought, I probably cant fly it, but I bet I could get it started! from then on helicopters became my drug of choice!!! one year later started flying and I havent looked back since, have my private, and need 80 hours till my commercial! So when I tell people to follow their dreams, I mean it wholeheartedly! I always wanted to fly and helicopters were the only thing that could even remotely allow to fly like I would in my dreams.

if you plan on flying for the army, hope you already have, or are planning on getting a college degree, as you are required to be an officer, which takes years! unless you go directly into OCS. regardless, follow the dream dude! and welcome to rotorspace!

yeah, you have to be an officer to fly for them and you have to have a degree to be an officer.

WOOOOW!!!!! this story had my heart sinking and leaping, I was right there in the cockpit of that chinook, and just incase anyone might be wondering, im attatching a picture of a CH46 just to give an idea of the amazing manuever pulled off by the pilot in question!!!!!
