Actually just using iMovie and the GoPro Hero. I'm looking at upgrading to Final Cut Pro or something along those lines, just need to do a bit of research on it first.

Was the situation in this accident aircraft consistent with this profile? The forward CG would be easy with two big guys up front and nothing behind them. Oddly, I was flying in these conditions just yesterday and noticed more than the usual amount of vibration in the helicopter. Certainly not worth landing for, but I was thinking of taking my mechanic for a flight if it persists. Now wondering if it had anything to do with this. Thanks again for this link, Scott. Certainly gives me plenty to think about -- and another reason to lose weight! less

The description of mast rocking says that it does NOT cause the main rotor blades to diverge from their normal path of rotation. This accident (http://www.ntsb.gov/aviationquery/brief.aspx?ev_id=20060510X00540&key=1) was caused by the tailboom getting cut off because the main rotor blades DID diverge from their normal path of rotation. Robinson may have settled simply to avoid a costly lawsuit and questions regarding the safety of their helicopters. less

Anything from clear air turbulence to a "let's put this new ship through it's paces" moment, but I am reasonably sure that it was not a design flaw that caused this crash. If it WAS a mechanical failure, I think it was probably more of a fluke than anything else. I think Robinson settled because they knew it was the right thing to do, both for their business and for the families of the departed. There are just too many of these ships flying around worldwide for there to be serious design flaws. less

I bought into their software, expecting affordable updates and discovered that I'd be paying the same as new customers every time I needed to update. I have it on my Mac and iPad; it will cost about $75 to update on both. I'll be abandoning it; I simply can't see throwing that money away annually on logbook software when I have a traditional paper logbook I can more easily maintain for free (or nearly so). LogTen Pro is good, but not THAT good.
